Overview & Fees
JAR Architecture is founded on strong principles, not only to produce desirable living and work spaces, but to deliver these spaces on budget and on time.
We are passionate about architectural design and have the experience and knowledge to create inspirational architecture to its fullest extent within the detailed brief as established by the client.
Getting your Project Underway
To get the project underway we will organise an initial meeting, this can be at any time or place to suit the client’s busy schedule, we fully appreciate that our clients have daily work/family commitments. Depending on the complexity, this meeting will establish the project brief, budget and time for completing the works.
Carry Out a Site Survey
Once the project scope has been defined we will undertake a site survey (if required) and produce drawings showing existing site/house conditions. From these drawings we will produce a sketch scheme for client approval; there may be several options dependent on cost and time. The scheme will be approved by the client before proceeding with planning and building regulation approval, as required.
Once Planning Approval is Gained
Upon the approval of all planning and building regulation requirements detailed construction drawings can be produced. Attention to detail cannot be emphasized enough; it is what separates a set of “design drawings” from a well-executed and thought through design process. From this detailed set of drawings and specification the contractor has been given every opportunity to complete the project as intended.
There are no fees involved for any initial meeting or subsequent for discussing your brief and/or establishing scope, budget and time. We believe, as professionals in the industry, it is our duty to ensure the project is feasible before any billable work commences.
Following the initial meeting and establishing the scope of works, we will produce a fee for review by the client. This fee proposal is broken down into stages of the project which allows you to see where all costs are incurred for complete transparency.
JAR Architecture bases our fees on guidance provided by the Fees Bureau.
